Orders placed by 12:00 PM (JST) on business days will be shipped the same day.

We are closed on weekends, so orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays, or after business hours on Friday will be shipped on the next business day.

(Example: Orders placed on Friday afternoon will be shipped on Monday.)

A delivery note showing the product price is usually included in the package.If you do not need a delivery note, please write “No delivery note” in the Order Notes section when placing your order.

“Gatomboya”という名前は、キクユ語で「沼地」を意味します。この地域が湿地帯で、タロイモの栽培に適していたことに由来しています。1987年にMathira Cooperative Societyの下で設立され、1996年に独立してBarichu FCSに加入しました。現在は約1,500戸の小規模農家からチェリーを受け入れています。
ガトンボヤ・コーヒーファクトリーは、ケニア山とアバーディア山地に挟まれた肥沃な地域に位置し、この地形と気候条件が優れたコーヒーの生産を支えています。
収穫は完熟したチェリーのみを丁寧に手摘みし、その日のうちにウェットミルへ搬入します。チェリーは選別後、パルピングを経て18時間ほど発酵され、糖分を分解。その後、ソーキングタンクで洗浄・浸漬し、アフリカンベッドで7〜15日かけて天日乾燥されます。
環境保全のため、工場では排水を適切に処理するための6つの浸透ピットを設けています。また、果肉(パルプ)は有機肥料として再利用し、土壌の健康維持に役立てています。組合では、農家に対し植林活動を推奨し、持続可能な生産体制を構築しています。
ガトンボヤファクトリーはマネージャーのMaina氏を中心に運営されています。スタッフはコーヒーの計量・選別・グレーディング・支払い業務を担当。農業省や農薬会社による研修やフィールドデーも定期的に開催されています。組合員は教育費や農業資材購入、緊急時の資金として信用制度を利用できます。また、コーヒー栽培に関する知識共有を積極的に行い、品質向上を支援しています。
